Three New Heart Paintings: Goodness Already in Our Hearts

Three of my new paintings are on display at this group show at the Center Gallery in Sautee, a the Sautee Nacoochee Community Center (SNCA).

I don’t want to spoil your first view with digital images of these paintings, but I’ll give you a preview of the titles:

The Simple Integrity Hidden in Your Heart

You can see from the titles, the basic theme emerging in my new paintings: goodness hidden in our hearts, even from ourselves. The titles are told to me by the paintings. I’d never come up with a title like “The Mercy Locked in Your Heart.” It was a total surprise to me.

Like the other new paintings I’m working on, these are acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas. The gallery has displayed them quite nicely in the painting gallery. I’m excited about the new paintings! You can see more of them, along with lots of older work, at my upcoming studio show Feb. 9-10. That’s a separate event listed her on the site.
